Davina McCall opens up after being diagnosed with cardiovascular disease

The TV presenter spoke about her current health situation on her Begin Again podcast, urging other women to pay more attention to their heart health.

"I wanted to let you know, I also have cardiovascular disease, and this is a very important conversation to have," she said.

"Anyone can get sick and when I had my cancer experience, you just suddenly feel vulnerable in a way you weren't before.

"Once you've been ill, you think 'Oh, I thought I was invincible'".

Speaking about the lead up to her diagnosis, McCall said she had been told she had high cholesterol for quite some time before being diagnosed with cardiovascular disease.

"I had high cholesterol and had it for quite a long time. It was deemed I had good cholesterol and that offset the bad or something."

The former Big Brother host said she wanted to urge other women not to dismiss potential symptoms, especially after the menopause.

"Heart attacks and cardiovascular disease is rife out there, particularly in women post menopause.

"If there is one takeaway today, it's not to brush things off."

Davina's latest health update comes after the star revealed she had been given the all-clear in April from Breast Cancer.

She was diagnosed back in October 2025 and had undergone a lumpectomy as well as radiotherapy.

In November 2024, the TV presenter also underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour, known as a colloid cyst.
