It was some fight.
Irishman Conor McGregor fought in his first ever professional boxing match against Floyd Mayweather only a few hours ago.
The UFC fighter lasted ten rounds before fatigue got in the way which pushed the referee, Robert Byrd, to put a stop to the match, making Mayweather’s boxing record 50-0.
The entire country of Ireland was beside Conor win or lose, and his girlfriend and mother of his child, Dee Devlin, paid a simple but touching tribute to the star on Instagram.
Taking to the social media network just a few hours after the fight, Dee shared a gorgeous photo of her with Conor’s family and their son, Conor Jr.
She captioned the picture with small red heart.
The new mum couldn’t look more proud in the photo, as do the rest of his family.
And of course, his fans are 100 percent behind him on Twitter:

All over.
Great effort by McGregor but Mayweather just showed why he’s the GOAT. Phenomenal boxer. ? pic.twitter.com/M65rcj2PZj— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 27, 2017
Moral victories don’t mean much but Conor did way better than the vast majority of the boxing world thought he’d do. Gas tank did him in.

Conor McGregor loses nothing tonight. Only gains. He never hit the canvas. Never came even close to quitting. Made Floyd fight entertaining.
