Dermot Bannon and Nathan Carter set for first Late Late Show of 2020

Jade Hayden

Divine viewing of a Friday.

It’s the first weekend of the New Year, lads.

And if you, like the majority of the country, have decided to do Dry January then chances are you’re going to be sat on your sofa for the entirety of this evening.

Or maybe you’re heading out to engage in some sober activities because not every event in Ireland has to be alcohol related. Whichever.

Regardless of what you’re up to, tonight’s Late Late Show has a bangin’ enough lineup featuring some of the country’s home grown talent, so you might as well stay in, sure.

Joining Ryan on the sofa tonight will be the glorious Dermot Bannon, who will be chatting all about the effort involved in transforming his own home in Drumcondra.

Room to Improve: Dermot’s Home is a two-part special airing this Sunday and next, documenting the renovation of the architect’s home from December 2018.

Also popping into the studio will be the king of country, Nathan Carter, belting out a tune alongside The High Kings to celebrate 10 years in Ireland.

Former President of Ireland Mary McAleese will be joining Ryan to discuss life after presidency, Brexit, and of course, the Catholic Church.

Co. Wicklow woman Kathleen Keyes will also make an appearance to discuss her viral letter to The Irish Times in which she detailed the heartache suffered as a result of the death of her last surviving child.

She will be in the studio tonight to chat about grief following the loss of her three children.

The Late Late Show airs tonight at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
