The Room to Improve star was killed in a road accident on Sunday.
The presenter said he is heartbroken after hearing about Karl’s untimely passing.
He penned a moving tribute to the carpenter on Instagram.
Alongside photos of Karl and his work on the show, Dermot shared a touching tribute.
“Devastated to hear that kind, gentle, unbelievably talented Karl Cullen has tragically died so young.”
“He played a huge part on Room to Improve over the years creating some of the most beautiful joinery.”
Bannon said Karl was a true pleasure to work with during his time on the show.

He added, “Heartbroken for his parents Karl and Annette, his Brothers Darren and Diarmuid, and all his family.”
Dermot’s followers also penned moving tributes to Karl.
One shared, “So very very sad to hear the tragic news about Karl. What a beautiful kind soul with the most unforgettable smile that would light up a room.
Others described Karl as “an absolute gentleman” and a hard worker.
“A huge loss of a talented soul. Our deepest condolences to all Karl’s family and friends.”
Another added, “You will live on in the hearts of all those who love you.”
Karl will be laid to rest on Friday, June 3rd.
