More details emerge on fatal dog attack in Co. Waterford

Further details have emerged following the dog attack in Co. Waterford which fatally injured a three-month-old girl.
The baby girl has been named as Mia O'Connell, who was sleeping in her bedroom when the family pet entered.
The little one was reportedly found by her aunt, who went to check on her as her mother and grandparents were downstairs.
The infant was found to be badly injured. Gardaí and paramedics attended the scene and brought her to Cork University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at around 3.15am.
A post-mortem was carried out at the same hospital yesterday, but a Garda spokesperson said the results "will not be released for operational reasons."
Gardaí have also confirmed that the dog involved, a terrier cross, has been put down.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning at a house in Clashmore, west Waterford.
