The 90s kid in me just screamed!
For years there have been rumours that sequels to movies like Sister Act (which did have one sequel) and Hocus Pocus.
Every year they go around and every year there is no sequel.
Now however it seems that Disney, which owns the rights to both movies, has announced some official plans to create a Sister Act 3 and Hocus Pocus 2 and we need to know more!
Sister Act 3 is in development! ? @WhoopiGoldberg returns to star and produce, with @TylerPerry as producer as well. Sister Act 3 will premiere on @DisneyPlus.

Yes that’s right, Disney tweeted last night from their official blue tick account that a Sister Act 3 is in the works and that Whoopi Goldberg herself will be returning!
Not only will Goldberg star in the sequel to the beloved musical but she will also be a producer too.
If that wasn’t enough another tweet went out and it’s the one we’ve been waiting a long time for.
Coming exclusively to @DisneyPlus is Hocus Pocus 2, the spooky sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic! @AdamMShankman is set to direct.

Yes, we are finally getting the Hocus Pocus sequel that we’ve been waiting over 20 years for!
So far there aren’t a lot of details, in fact that tweets we’re so small they almost could have gotten lost, but we noticed them.
Seeing as these updates are coming straight from the horses mouth and not the rumour mill this time we can officially get ready for two amazing sequels to two of our favourite movies.
Finally something good has come out of 2020, now on to 2021 so we can get these sequels filmed and on our screens.
Omg, could you imagine being able to watch Hocus Pocus one and two next Halloween?
