'The socks incorrectly passed our security control'.

The children’s socks have been recalled because of worries about a certain chemical.

The Frozen socks featuring the character Anna are said to contain a chemical that can become carcinogenic.

The socks, which were sold by Lindex, were a part of a three-pack with other pairs depicting Elsa and Olaf.

It is said the chemical can cause cancer so the manufacturers have recalled the socks.

“Our customers’ safety and the quality of our products are top priorities for us at Lindex and we have a major focus on this in the creation of our fashion,” a Lindex spokesman said.

“We regret that these socks incorrectly have passed our security controls.”

The recall is on all socks carrying the article number 833 7410285 5170 1611.

While Lindex currently doesn’t have any stores in Ireland, their online shop ships to Irish customers.

Customers who are worried are told to contact Lindex customer service straight away.
