Disney’s Lilo and Stitch version of Elf on the Shelf has parents queuing up

Orlaith Condon

Attention Disney fans: this one’s for you.

Whether you’ve invested in one or not, no doubt you’ll be aware of the Elf on the Shelf trend that has snowballed in recent years.

Yes, it’s become the Christmas decoration of choice in many homes and now there’s a new version that parents and kids alike are going mad for.

Disney has released a Lilo and Stitch version of the game and it’s already selling like mad.

The cuddly toy version of “Mischievous Stich”, as he’s called, comes with a holiday book and is being described as a “sometimes naughty, sometimes nice alien celebrating his first holiday on Earth.”

The idea of the Stitch game is to encourage kids to teach him about Christmas traditions and to model good behaviour for him.

He’s also ideal for parents who don’t want to have to move the traditional elf each night.

Elf on the Shelf has been a growing trend in recent years, with the game intended to encourage good behaviour among kids.

The idea is that the Elf moves around the home during the night, keeping an eye on children and reporting back to Santa on their behaviour in the run-up to the big day.

But somehow we think many will be switching to Holiday Mischief with Stitch this year.

The Disney version of the game is on sale now for €27 but hurry – it’s sure to sell out.
