"I am grateful, but some days you can't just girl boss your way through it all," Doireann said.

Doireann Garrihy has opened up about the reality of juggling motherhood, work and finding time for herself, admitting that some days she feels "haggard".

The RTE star welcomed her first child, Rosie, with her husband Mark Mehigan back in October 2025.

After returning to work full-time in May, Doireann has been balancing motherhood with her 2FM show, podcasting and a busy schedule.

In a candid message to her followers on Instagram Stories, she admitted that trying to keep on top of everything can sometimes feel impossible.

"We can't do it all at once, girls. We can't. We've been sold a lie, ok?" she joked.

Doireann went on to explain that while she is "extremely grateful" for her life, finding time for herself has become a struggle.

"There's nothing wildly wrong at all and I'm extremely grateful, that goes without saying, for everything.

"But working, being a mum, trying to slot in time for yourself here and there, I'm not even talking about getting your nails done, I mean to just stand in the kitchen and look into space - there's no time. For anything."

The broadcaster also admitted that she can't always "girl boss" her way through the tougher days.

"I am grateful, but some days you can't just girl boss your way through it all," she said.

"You're just haggard, and today is one of those days, and that's ok, and that's fine."

Rather than trying to squeeze more into her day, Doireann said she was planning an early night ahead of what could be another disrupted night with her baby girl.

"I always try to just go back to basics when I feel like this.

"Try to get off the phone, get into bed, have a shower, get into nice pyjamas, drink some water, and shit the F up," she joked.
