Woman hit by a motorbike in Dublin city fighting for her life in hospital

The woman was crossing a road in Dublin when the accident happened.

A Garda investigation is underway after a woman was hit while crossing the road in Dublin city.

The woman has been left fighting for her life after she was hit by a motorbike in Dublin.

The accident occurred on Amiens Street, near Connolly Train Station this afternoon.

It is believed the woman was first hit by a motorbike and then hit by an An Post van just after 1 pm today.

She was crossing the road when the accident occurred.

The woman was rushed to the Mater Hospital in Dublin, where she is reportedly in a critical condition.

The driver of the motorbike has also been taken to hospital, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Multiple road closures are in place as Gardaí investigate the accident.

“A number of local roads are currently closed and local diversions are in place, with delays expected for road users in the area.”

They have urged witnesses to come forward.

They’re particularly interested in speaking to anyone who has footage of the road accident.

Anyone with footage of the accident should also contact Gardaí.
