Flights have resumed at Dublin Airport after a drone sighting earlier this morning.

The announcement was made via social media with the airport saying the decision was taken for safety reasons.

Earlier this morning, flights were suspended following the confirmed sighting of a drone over the airfield.

The airport advised passengers to contact their individual airlines for flight updates.

They shared a statement on Twitter reading:

“The safety and security of customers is our key priority at all times,” they later added.
