Many were left without dresses

How horrible!

We all know that the lead up to a wedding can be a stressful time.

Between planning the ceremony, venue, food, cake, flowers and everything else in between, it’s one of those times when you just don’t want anything to go wrong.

Well, for customers of a bridal boutique in Dublin, one thing has gone very, very wrong for them – namely, their bridesmaids’ dresses.

Wedding World in Fairview suddenly shut down last Friday without any notice, leaving dozens of brides deeply upset.

Its supplier Dessy, which is based in the UK, announced on a Facebook post that it will now be responsible for the dress orders.

In the Facebook post, Dessy said: “Wedding World Dublin has ceased trading. We are Ruby Productions Ltd, the European distributor for The Dessy Group (New York) based in Sheffield, UK.

“We have set up this FB page to help customers who have ordered with Wedding World as they clearly are unable or unwilling to help.”

If you did order a dress from Wedding World and have yet to receive your dress/es, Dessy is advising you to contact by phone on +44 (0) 1909 774444 or by email on sally@dessy.com.
