It has often been named the ugliest building in Dublin.

But now, the Phibsborough shopping centre is going to go through a huge revamp.

Dublin City Council announced that it has approved the revamp, which will cost €50 million.

At first, it was planned that the building would be demolished, however, the developers don’t own the Tesco and Eddie Rockets that reside on the ground floor of the building.

The redevelopment will include three separate areas which will each have three to seven floors.

It will also include the construction of student accommodation, which plans to house more than 300 individuals.
