Dunnes Stores Launches First Irish Clothing Range For Children With Special Needs

Trine Jensen-Burke

Irish nationwide retailer Dunnes Stores has launched a clothing range for children with additional needs.

The range, which features short and long sleeve bodysuits and sleepsuits with easy open poppers, as well as a soft bib with an absorbent backing, is being applauded by parents across the nation, who have previously had to order items like these from abroad, at a much higher cost.

The range covers ages 3-14, and items are priced €4.50 to €10.00.Screen Shot 2016-11-21 at 12.00.11

The range came about after Irish mum Alva Cullen, who herself has a child with Down Syndrome, sent an e-mail to the retailer asking them if they would consider producing a range for children with additional needs.

Upon sending her e-mail, Cullen was contacted directly by Dunnes Stores senior management, and was then kept informed all the way along the process of making the range.

The range is now available exclusively online at DunnesStores.com
