Over 4,000 baby sleep bags were sold

Dunnes Stores has recalled its Unicorn Sleep & Grow Baby Sleep Bag 2.5 Tog.

It is understood the unicorn sleep bag is being recalled due to suffocation risk.

The affected product is a pink baby sleep bag. It is covered in unicorn, rainbow, elephant, and rabbit illustrations.

Parents have been urged to stop using the product immediately.

The affected products were sold in Dunnes Stores between August 2020 and May 2021.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission said the affected products have the Serial Number 5099011588787, and Style number 6454486.

“A safety issue has been identified with the affected products where there is a risk of suffocation due to a large neck opening.

It is believed the baby sleep bag has been quite popular with shoppers. Anyone who has purchased one of the unicorn sleep bags will be given a full refund if they return it to their nearest store.

There are approximately 4,480 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

“If you purchased one of these products then you should stop using it immediately, and return the product to your local Dunnes Stores shop for a full refund,” the CCPC stated.
