Eamon Ryan’s mother dies suddenly in tragic accident

She died “unexpectedly” on Tuesday.

Eamon Ryan’s mother has sadly died in a tragic accident in Galway. The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday, August 9th.

The Green Party leader’s mother Mary Ryan was visiting Inisbofin Island at the time of the tragedy.

Following the accident, she was rushed to Galway University Hospital by the Air Ambulance Service.

But despite the doctor’s best efforts, Mrs. Ryan died a short time later.

Minister Ryan and his family are heartbroken following her unexpected passing.

A death notice for Mary Ryan confirmed that she died unexpectedly, but peacefully on August 9th.

“Mary, beloved wife of the late Bob, loving mother of John, Eamon, Robert, and Marion.

“Sadly missed by her children and their partners.

“She adored grandchildren Harriet, Lorcan, Séamus, Fintan, Isabella, Jack, Oliver, Ino, Tom, Róise, Sean and Harry, great-grandson George.”

Minister Ryan’s representative issued a short statement on his behalf.

The Green Party leader praised the emergency services for going above and beyond for his mother.

“Mary Ryan, mother of John, Eamon, Robert, and Marian died suddenly in the early hours of this morning at University Hospital Galway.

“Minister Eamon Ryan wants to thank the Air Ambulance Service as well as staff at University Hospital Galway for their care.”

Mary Ryan’s funeral mass will take place on Saturday, August 13th at Joseph’s Church, Glasthule at 10 am.
