EastEnders fans looking for their usual Friday night fix will be majorly disappointed to learn that the show has been cancelled tonight. Amid a huge heist storyline, none the less.
And it’s for the most annoying reason ever. An FA Cup match between Liverpool and Everton will be shown instead.
The show itself has yet to break the news to fans, but TV listings show the match scheduled in for the usual 8pm EastEnders slot on BBC One.
Viewers tuning in on RTÉ hoping that it will still be showing it will also be met with disappointment. In its place will be Pat Shortt’s show, Entertainment from D’Telly.
You wouldn’t mind so much on a normal week, but it follows the huge Christmas storyline which is still playing out.
