Elderly neighbour buys little girl 13 years worth of presents before passing away

This is so sweet!

An elderly man in the UK bought the little girl living next door fourteen Christmas gifts, one for this Christmas and one for each of the next thirteen years.

The toddler’s dad, Owen Williams, posted the touching story, which has since gone viral, to Twitter and if you need something to warm your heart today read on.

Williams wrote that one of his elderly neighbours had recently passed away, but did the sweetest thing for his little girl before they did.

“Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack. In the sack were all the Christmas presents he’d bought for *our* daughter for the next thirteen years.”

The tweet has been shared over 35,000 times since it was originally posted this week and Williams even put up a poll about what he should do with the gifts.

Most who left comments agreed that the gifts should be left a mystery and be an extra special surprise for his little girl every Christmas.

The whole idea is such a wonderful thing for their neighbour to do and a beautiful way for the family to remember their neighbour and friend every Christmas.
