Yesterday, forecasters suggested that there could be severe weather on the way for the weekend...Beast from the East part two as some have coined it.
Early predictions suggest temperatures will fall dramatically ahead of St Patrick's Day (Saturday 17th), continuing into Sunday (18th) although this is subject to change.
In the meantime, there's going to be a lot of rain and the following eleven counties are likely to be worst affected.
Yesterday, Met Éireann issued a weather advisory warning for Munster and Leinster "with very wet and windy" conditions likely on Wednesday.
Today, that rainfall warning has been updated and the counties most likely to be affected by extreme rainfall are Kildare, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, Carlow, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.
The warning is in place from 23:00 tonight until 23:59 tomorrow night and there could be "accumulations of 30 to 50mm with a risk of localized flooding".
Met Éireann also warns of the potential of higher accumulations in mountainous areas.
