Emmerdale fans reckon they have figured out the identity of the father of Maya Stepney’s baby.
Maya dropped her newborn on the doorstep of Jacob Gallagher and David Metcalfe on Christmas Day, with both father and son suspecting they may be the baby’s dad.
Since then, the pair have been determined to find out who the father of the child is – and earlier this week, they sent off a DNA test to find out the truth.
However, viewers have begun to suspect there may be more to the whos-the-dad mystery – especially after noticing a clue in Friday night’s episode.

Emmerdale fans were convinced that an exchange between David and Dr. Liam Cavanagh – who was in a relationship with Maya before she moved onto David – was hinting at aw major twist.
“Why would Maya do this to us just when we were getting over her. Getting on with our lives,” David asked the doctor. “Maybe if you’d have had a son it would have been worse for you.”
And with David later urging him to fix the DNA test, fans were more convinced than ever that Liam was going to end up being the father of Maya’s child.

I just hope Liam labelled each swab before he used them on David and Jacob because there was no label on the bag he put Jacob’s swab in. I can see a mix up with the dna samples happening if he didn’t!! ?
