Emmerdale fans were left feeling uncomfortable as they watched a grooming storyline continued to unfold between Jacob Gallagher and his teacher, Maya Stepney.
Thursday night's episode saw Maya confide in the schoolboy after her boyfriend, David (who is also Jacob's dad), missed the majority of her birthday.
However, unknown to her, Jacob had developed a crush on her - and Maya was shocked when he kissed her on the lips.
Friday night's episode continued to deal with the fallout from the kiss, with Jacob apologising to her for what he did. Maya made things more confusing when she took some of the blame herself, and told the teenager she loves having him listen to her.
Jacob then asked her if something could happen between them if it wasn't for her relationship with David.
The fact that she refused to give him a definitive answer left many viewers feeling uneasy, wondering if she had more sinister intentions.

The fallout is set to continue into next week, according to
Digital Spy, as Maya has difficulty reasoning with Jacob after what happened.
And there's an awkward atmosphere when David (who is still oblivious as to what's actually happened) kisses Maya - as Jacob jealously watches on.
However, keen to make out as if he's not actually interested in Maya, Jacob tells them he's started dating his schoolmate, Liv Flaherty.
He lies and tells them it's a serious relationship, but whether or not they actually believe him isn't clear.
These scenes are set to unfold on Monday, November 19.
