Emmerdale Maya showdown WILL continue tonight ahead of crucial flashback episodes

Weren't going to bother tuning in this evening?

Well, you'll have to now. Last week, Maya's sick, twisted, totally controversial grooming plot was exposed to the Dale. Or rather, it was exposed to some of the Dale in the form of Priya, Leyla, and Tracy when they were all on a #galsnightout. Priya spied the teacher kissing Jacob outside the club when she was stone cold sober and was, naturally, horrified by the events.  Maya tried to downplay the whole thing but Priya had already told the others what they saw and suddenly, the whole dynamic of the group changed. The episode ended without giving viewers any insight into what happened to Maya (other than that she was lured off into the woods), but previews for the next few episodes have shown the women plotting together, encouraging one another to stick to the same story. Maya is also, coincidentally, nowhere to be found. Emmerdale has already confirmed that viewers are finally going to find out exactly what went down through flashback episodes that will start airing on May 6. However, until then it seemed that the whole thing was going to take a bit of a back seat while the rest of the Dale goes about their normal business. And although the storyline may very well do just that, it isn't going to be absent from this week's episodes entirely. Thankfully. Tonight's instalment will see Priya, Leyla, and Tracy continue to snoop about the place looking suspicious following whatever went down during their Big Night Out. It'll also show the women interacting with David, who is of course none the wiser and thinks that Maya has disappeared because she saw him kissing ex Tracy. Instead of, you know, because she may actually be dead.  Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on Virgin Media One.
