Emmerdale couple Charley Webb and her husband Matthew Wolfenden surprised all their friends and family when they organised a surprise wedding.
People thought they were attending Charley’s 30th but the couple had actually been keeping their big day under wraps.
The celebration took place at Ripley Castle in Harrogate earlier this month and it was only when people arrived that they found out the actual reason for the gathering.
After the wedding, the couple gave an exclusive interview to OK! magazine and Debbie said telling people about their surprise wedding was “the best moment of my life”.
“That moment when we announced what we were doing and seeing everybody’s reaction is the best moment of my life”.
“This way we got to do it totally the way we wanted – it wasn’t traditional, we didn’t have a sit-down meal and there weren’t loads of speeches.
Jamie Lomas, of Hollyoaks and I’m A Celebrity fame is Charley’s brother and he gave his sister away while Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter was one of the bridesmaids.
Charley’s gorgeous gown is thought to be a Suzanne Neville design and the lace bodice is just stunning.
Charley and Matthew met on the Emmerdale set over ten years ago and now have two children together, Buster (7) and Bowie (2).
Although they got engaged on Christmas Day 2009, they were never in any rush to tie the knot and whey they did, it came as a major surprise.
The full interview is in this week’s OK magazine and we imagine soap fans will be rushing to pick it up…
