Anna Geary has admitted that she is ‘trying to find my way’ following the tragic death of her brother, Thomas Geary.

The RTÉ presenter’s brother sadly passed away at Limerick University Hospital after a short illness at the age of 34.

Thomas was laid to rest on Saturday, November 19th, at Dromcollogher Cemetery after a funeral service at the Church of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Milford, Co. Cork.

He is survived by his fiancée Mary Ita Murphy, his mother Ellen, sister Anna, nephew Ronan, and his extended family.

Last night (November 29th), Anna took to Instagram stories to pen an emotional post, expressing her gratitude for the support she has received during this difficult time.

“Thank you to each & every one of you that took the time to send such heartfelt and thoughtful messages during these past few weeks.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t reply back to everyone, but I want you to know that I did read them & I really do appreciate them,” she continued.

“Life is unpredictable! No one ever knows what’s around the corner. For now, I’m trying to find my way on here. Bear with me xx”

The media personality also shared a sweet post with her baby boy Ronan, whom she welcomed in August, adding that ‘his hugs are getting me through’.

“Never underestimate the power of a hug,” she wrote.

The heartbreaking loss comes after Anna’s father sadly passed away from cancer in 2022.

The Fittest Family’s coach paid a touching tribute to her beloved dad, Michael Geary on Instagram, sharing the ways in which he enriched her life, and what she’ll miss the most.

“Here’s to you Dad. I hope you’re tucking into your customary (gigantic) Toblerone bar and watching The Sunday Game up above today, analysing everything.

“I miss our in-depth chats (sometimes debates) about GAA matches while stealing bits of your Toblerone when you weren’t looking. It’s amazing how the seemingly “insignificant” things end up being important memories,” she shared.

We’re keeping Anna Geary and her loved ones in our thoughts during this difficult time.
