Anna Geary introduces her mum to her beautiful baby boy

Kat O'Connor

Anna Geary welcomed her first child earlier this month.

New mums experience many incredible milestones in those first few weeks of parenthood. One of the best ones being the moment you introduce your newborn to your own parents.

It’s a moment Anna Geary experienced this week when her mum met her son Ronan.

The new mum even posted photos of the special moment and her followers were left in tears.

It was a bittersweet moment for Anna because her father Michael sadly passed away before her son was born. She lost her dad suddenly in March 2022.

Alongside photos of her mother cradling her son, Anna wrote: “When Ronan met Nana, episode 1 #threegenerations”

The look on her mum’s face says it all and her followers agreed.

“Proud nana. Ronan has stolen her heart,” one wrote.

Another added, “Gorgeous. Nana looking proud as punch.

“Beautiful baby God Bless him, Nanna will spoil him,” another wrote.

Anna gave birth to her baby boy on August 1st and said her son was born “slightly ahead of schedule”.

Alongside a photo of her beautiful baby boy, the new mum wrote:

“Arrived slightly ahead of schedule, he couldn’t wait to get here. Welcome to the world, Ronan Sexton. 01/08/2023.”

Earlier this week, Anna announced that her and husband Kevin Sexton finally got to take their baby boy home.

The mum was reflecting on her camogie career when she confirmed the news.

“Almost 20 years between these 2 significant days in my life. August 2003-August 2023. I captained the Cork minor Camogie team to win the All-Ireland back in August 2003.”

“The following week I was invited to join the Cork Senior squad, and the rest, as they say, is history,” she wrote.

The presenter continued, “Fast forward two decades, to the day we bring our little man home. Surreal! Suddenly life looks very different.”

Anna gushed, “Both days have me bursting with a sense of pride & privilege though.”
