Sunday Times bestselling author Beth O'Leary has shared some major news.
Beth O'Leary's book 'The Flatshare' is set to become a TV series.
The author confirmed the exciting news on Instagram this afternoon.
Beth even revealed the actors who have landed the lead roles in the new show.
Downton Abbey actress Jessica Brown Findlay will play Tiffany, and Master of None actor Anthony Welsh will play Leon.
The show has been picked up by Paramount+ ahead of its release in the UK later this year.
The Flatshare is one of O'Leary's most beloved books and fans of the author are overjoyed to hear it will be hitting the small screen soon.
It follows Tiffany and Leon, two broke twentysomethings who share a bed, but who have never met. They time-share their flat as Tiffany works during the day and Leon spends his nights working at a hospice.
They may be on opposite schedules but their worlds start to intertwine as they grow more and more curious about the person they're sharing their bed with.
Beth couldn't help but gush about the exciting news.
She wrote: "I have been absolutely bursting with excitement about this for a very long time.
"I cannot tell you how good it feels to finally be able to share the news with you all so that you can get excited with me!
"Embarrassing squealing strongly encouraged. (I have done a lot of that.)"
The Flatshare was the author's first novel. It sold a whopping half a million copies and has been translated into 30 languages.
A release date for the six-episode series has yet to be confirmed, but we're already excited about it.
The Flatshare will be adapted by Rose Lewenstein.
It will also be directed by Oscar nominee Peter Cattaneo.
