Boris Johnson and wife Carrie’s newborn daughter hit “quite badly” with Covid-19

Their six-week-old daughter tested positive last week.

Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie's daughter Romy has tested positive for Covid-19. Their newborn daughter reportedly suffered quite badly from the virus. A source revealed to The Daily Mail that baby Romy is luckily now on the mend. It is believed she tested positive last week. Johnson was forced to cancel numerous appearances due to the Covid close contact rules. However, it hasn't stopped the Prime Minister from being hit with extreme backlash over 'partygate'. Both Johnson and his wife Carrie, who was pregnant at the time, had Covid-19 in April 2020. Johnson took a turn for the worst and ended up in intensive care. His wife Carrie was heavily-pregnant at the time but did not need to be hospitalised. She went on to welcome their first child together- a son named Wilfred. Carrie gave birth to their second child last month. Prior to the birth, Carrie revealed she suffered a miscarriage in the summer of 2021. Carrie and Boris's rainbow baby was born at UCLH in London. "Welcome to the world darling Romy. Born on December 9 at 9.02 am," the mum-of-two shared. Carrie bravely spoke out about her miscarriage before giving birth to her baby girl. "Hoping for our rainbow baby this Christmas. At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage which left me heartbroken," she revealed. "I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again but I've also felt like a bag of nerves. "Fertility issues can be really hard for many people, particularly when on platforms like Instagram it can look like everything is only ever going well."
