"If some celebrity was telling her little girl to commit suicide, it would probably really upset her."
Reality star Courtney Stodden has revealed that they are still blocked on social media by
Chrissy Teigen, who told them to take a "dirt nap" when they were just a teen.
Courtney, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, said they were blocked by the model when she issued an apology last year for wishing death on and relentlessly trolling them years ago after they married Doug Hutchison, a man 36 years their senior, when they were just 16.
"I haven’t checked, but I don’t think [I’m unblocked]," the 27-year-old said whilst checking their phone in a Zoom
interview with Page Six.
"Yeah, I’m not seeing she has a Twitter, so maybe she has one and I’m just blocked from it? ...I don’t see anything."

Chrissy, 36, is indeed active on Twitter again after taking a break from the platform last year amid public backlash for old tweets, including those that showed her harass a then-underaged Courtney. Her tweets and DMs to the reality star included telling them her "fantasy" was for them to take a "dirt nap", telling them to "go. to. sleep. forever." and writing things like "I can’t wait for you to die".
"It really affected me deeply being told that I’m worth more dead [and that] people want to see me dead. I was getting death threats from the normal person to celebrities,” Courtney told the publication. “Those nights... I would just be supported by a wine bottle.
"It was enough to be in a situation where I was groomed, but then on top of it, [I started] believing that I am not worth anything. And then having celebrities tell me that, it was hard to process that at the time. Looking back on it and still dealing severely with depression — that I speak on a lot — [the bullying] didn’t help me."

Chrissy's harassment made its way into public consciousness last year after a
Daily Beast profile documented the devastating impact it had on Courtney. Mass backlash led to Chrissy quitting her role as narrator of the hit Netflix show Never Have I Ever, reportedly being dropped from a deal with Bloomingdales and having her cookware line disappear from Macy’s.
Courtney said that while they felt repercussions for the Lip Sync Battle star's cruel words were "long overdue", they also "don’t like seeing other people go through stress". "But I know that I deserved an apology," they added.
"I was speaking on this maybe for a few years before [Chrissy apologised]," Courtney continued to Page Six. "I wish that she maybe could have apologised to
me, like she said she did. But I never got anything.
"So, I didn’t feel touched, let’s say, by the apology... I didn’t get one other than on social media, which felt like she was apologising to everybody else, but I was blocked."

After the Daily Beast article, Chrissy tweeted an apology that addressed Courtney without unblocking them. She later
issued a longer statement on Medium and her social media platforms, apologising for being "a troll, full stop" and writing: "Words have consequences and there are real people behind the Twitter handles I went after. I wasn’t just attacking some random avatar, but hurting young women — some who were still girls — who had feelings. How could I not stop and think of that?"
In her statement, the model also vowed to be a better
role model for her children Luna, 5, and Miles, 3, who she shares with John Legend.
"John tells me almost every day how much our daughter Luna reminds him of me. Every day, I try to make sure she’s all the best parts of me, all the things I aspire to be all the time, but fail at sometimes. And we preach kindness to her and Miles every chance we get," she wrote at the time.

"My goal is to be so good that my kids will think this was all a fairy tale. Not the fake good. The good that has the best intentions, the good who wakes up wanting to make her friends, family, her team and fans as happy as possible. The good who will still fuck up in front of the world but rarely, and never not growing only more good from it."
Courtney told Page Six that they would be open to having a face-to-face conversation with Chrissy about the dangers of continuous cyberbullying, particularly as she claimed she wants to do better for her kids.
"She’s a mom and if she can kind of put herself in that position, if some celebrity was telling her little girl to commit suicide, it would probably really upset her," they shared.
"I would just like to sit down and talk to her if she’s really in a place to do that. And if she’s not, I certainly don’t need it. I am healing from a lot of stuff.”
