Many of us will be re-watching Home Alone over the Christmas break but have you ever realised this detail about the film?
It is without a doubt one of the best Christmas movies and we somehow never get tired of it every year.
Some of us have been watching it since the 90s but have only just realised how young Marv is in the first film.
The famous burglar is only 33 in the first Home Alone and some fans couldn’t quite believe it.
One wrote, “Marv looked like 50 though!”
“Marv looked older ’cause he was hanging around with Joe Pesci,” one said.
Another added, “I always had thought he was 40-something in that movie.”
so apparently Marv (Daniel Stern) was supposed to be 33 at the time of filming Home Alone…

One wrote, “If anyone needs me, I’ll be viewing care homes and collecting my pension.”
Another said, “I realized that I am now the same age as Daniel Stern (Marv) when he starred in Home Alone in 1990. He was 33 at the time.”
Earlier this month, actor Daniel Stern confirmed he left life in Hollywood behind and now lives on a farm.
He is now spending his time on his farm and works as a cattle rancher and sculptor.
He explained that he decided to leave his acting career behind because he was struggling with being away from his family.
Stern told his followers, “I decided to stop travelling so much, stay home and focus on my family and my other artistic passions,” he added. “The result of that decision is that I have a wonderful family life and this body of work.”
