Hugh Grant has confirmed the names of his two youngest daughters who are 8 and 5, and they are very unique
Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday the renowned actor was discussing his own ‘cruel’ middle name before he revealed his two girls’ very unique names.
The host started off by saying: “I must ask you about your middle name because this is a little detail, and I don’t know how it slipped past me the last time.
“But, Mungo is one of your middle names, yes?” Hugh started smiling before answering, “Yes, that’s right.”
He then admitted that he wasn’t the only one in the family with a distinctive name.
“Yes, my parents were very unkind,” Hugh laughed before adding, “so as a result, I gave my own children even worse names!”
When it came to naming his daughter Lulu, Hugh said he and his wife Anna ended up in a bit of a rush on the big day.
“We thought it might be nice if, when she’s older, she could go into a bar and say, ‘My middle name is Danger.’”
And so, Lulu Danger Grant was officially welcomed into the Grant family.
Hugh went on to share the story behind his youngest daughter’s name: Blue.
“Once again, I panicked about names with my wife, so we asked her elder brother what we should call her,” Hugh explained.
Hugh explained that his son asked that they call her Kevin after the minion, and said: “We did think about calling her Kevin, but then we said, ‘You better think of something else,’” Hugh laughed, reliving the moment.
That’s when they decided to settle on the name Blue, to add to the unique nature of their family’s names.
