Meghan Trainor opted for quite a traditional name.
Singer Meghan Trainor has divided fans after revealing the name of her baby boy.
The mum gave birth to her son, who is her second child, on July 1st. She posted a series of photos from the day her baby boy was born, and the singer also confirmed his very traditional name.
“On July 1st (our 7-year anniversary of our first date) we welcomed Barry Bruce Trainor into the world,” the mum wrote.
“He was a big boy at 8lbs 7oz…and sideways (transverse), but we had an amazing, successful c-section, and I finally got my skin-to-skin time! Thank you to all of the incredible doctors and nurses who took such great care of us,” she shared.
The name is adorable, but many fans were quite surprised that Trainor picked such a ‘normal’ name. Celebrities are known for being a little out there with their baby names, but many called the singer out over her decision.

One person said: “Meghan Trainor named her baby Barry?! People called Barry aren’t born, they just spawn at 40 years old surely?”
Another added: “Meghan Trainor has just had a baby boy and she’s called him Barry… Did she give birth to a 52-year-old man from Bootle!?”
“Meghan Trainor has named her baby Barry and tbh I don’t think I’ll ever recover,” a third follower said.
Despite the trolls, many agreed that her son’s name was extremely sweet. One said the traditional name was “adorable”.
Another shared: “Congratulations on the birth of your son, Barry. He is adorable and I love what you have named him.”
The All About That Bass singer is also a mum to a son named Riley.
