Will Friend died at the age of 33.
One Tree Hill actress Bevin Prince’s husband has died after being struck by lightning.
The 33-year-old’s body was found on a boat in North Carolina.
He was struck by lightning during a storm near Masonboro Island.
Emergency services tried to resusitate Will Friend, but they were unable to save him.
Friend’s company Bisnow issued a statement after his untimely death.
“With profound sadness, we share some extremely difficult news: Will Friend, who took Bisnow to new heights as CEO, passes away at 33.”
One Tree Hill actress Prince was married to the businessman since 2016.
The couple recently celebrated their 6 year anniversary in May.
Alongside a photo from their wedding day, Prince wrote: “Winston and I are so lucky to know you, to love you, and to learn with you.
“We have come so far and I am so proud of the life we have built. You make life delicious, my love. I love you.”
Friends of Will have been paying tribute since his harrowing death.
Actress Odette Annable penned a moving tribute after finding out about Will’s tragic passing.
She said he was just getting started and was taken far too soon.
“What a gift you gave to everyone who knew you to witness the passion that burned in your soul. The passion to help people, to build your business, to find happiness like I’d never seen from you living in North Carolina with Bevin.
“You were perfect for her in every way. You supported her dreams, you made her feel seen.
Odette confirmed that she is with Bevin and is supporting her during this unthinkable time.
“Being here with Bevin, hearing her share stories about you breaks my heart for her, because she lost the love of her life.”
