Princess Charlotte celebrated her ninth birthday this week
The Prince and Princess of Wales follow a pretty sweet tradition when it comes to their children’s birthdays. They have shared birthday portraits of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis since their children were small.
The photos, often captured by Kate, are adored by fans of the royals, including the latest photo of Princess Charlotte.
Kate and William shared the beautiful photo of their only daughter online this week as she turns nine.
Alongside the sweet photo of Charlotte, the caption read: “Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! Thank you for all of the kind messages today.”
Fans were quick to point out the similarity between Charlotte and her father, Prince William.
Many agreed that the couple’s middle child was the image of the future king.
One said: “When she was younger she looked like QEII. Now she looks like her Dad. A beautiful little girl.”
Another added: “She looks just like her daddy! So precious.”
One pointed out: “The first daughter is always Dada’s girl! First born daughter always looks like the female version of her father.”
The update comes after Prince William told their supporters that his family were doing well.
Following news of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, William stepped down from royal duties temporarily.
However, he attended a royal engagement in Newcastle this week and shared a family update.
One member of the public asked: “Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?”
The Prince of Wales responded: “All doing well, thank you. Yes, we’re doing well.”
