“I wanted to cry yesterday”
Erin McGregor has penned a moving tribute to her son Harry on his sixth birthday.
The mum celebrated her little boy’s birthday this week, but admitted her heart ached for Harry.
Her son has autism and is non-verbal.
Erin admitted she finds it hard to understand what he wants. She said she was unsure whether or not she should have a party for Harry.
Writing on Instagram, the mum told her followers that her heart aches for her son.
“I can’t help but wish I knew what he actually wanted,” she wrote.
The mum said she also wish she knew if it was okay to sing happy birthday to her son.
“I am so grateful that he is such a beautiful soul, but my heart aches a little,” Erin shared.
“It never gets easier that part of being a mammy,” Erin continued.

She said she often wishes things were “as black and white”.
“I can’t explain to you how much my heart hurts because I love him that much.
“I wanted to cry yesterday picking out things for him, I thought should I have a party,” she said.
Erin said she is trying her best to do what is right for Harry.
The proud mum said the day Harry was born she knew “you were sent from something special”.
“I held you in my arms and rocked you to sleep for months never wanting to let you down. You have amazed me every day since.”
“Keep showing the world how amazing you and children like you are. You rock son.”
