Bawling.
We were surprised but delighted when it was announced that Carla Connor would be coming back to Weatherfield this Christmas.
Her Corrie return promised big drama and last night her secret was finally revealed.
Many viewers suspected Carla was pregnant but she’s actually suffering from kidney failure, a health scare that could have fatal consequences.
She’s kept the news from her family but broke down and told old friend Roy Cropper the truth last night.
“Oh this is really happening to me, isn’t it? I don’t want to die, Roy,” she told him.
Lovable softy that he is, Roy committed to being there for Carla. He insisted she move in with him so he can look after her and was even seen Googling ‘how to donate a kidney’ later on.
His show of friendship had us in bits last night, and it looks like we weren’t the only ones.
Carla and Roy’s bromance is everything I want in 2018 #Corrie

The Carla&Roy scene outside the Bistro was probably THE best corrie scene of 2017 #corrie

We’re dying to see whether Roy will be able to save Carla’s life but either way, can these two just get their own spin-off already?
