Everyone’s saying the same thing about Jude on Coronation Street tonight

Ah, lads.

Somebody give the man an Oscar or a TV Now award or something. He deserves it. During this evening's first instalment of Coronation Street, Jude lands himself in it when he lies to Mary about whether or not he plans to sit his paramedic exam. Spoiler: he doesn't. Mary finds this out when she receives a call from Jude's would-be examiner asking how he is, and just as she's about to confront him about this, the man himself strolls in with a bottle of wine that he bought to 'celebrate.' Mary goes along with the whole thing for a while trying to catch him out, but Jude continues with the lie. So much so that the child minder ends up snapping at him and shouting about all the porkies he's been telling. It wasn't the raw and pained emotion of the scene that viewers at home were talking about though - it was Jude's nostrils. Because they flared an obscene amount. You know... like a liars would?
