Met Éireann has issued a Status Red weather warning for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, and Wicklow. The weather forecaster issued the alert shortly after 5am as there was heavy snowfall overnight.

Dublin Bus

"Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to severe weather overnight, there will be significant disruption to services this morning. Bus Eireann

"We wish to advise customers that School Transport Services in areas affected by the Status Red weather warning will not operate - Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow. "All Expressway services to/from Dublin are cancelled." For more information, check here.

Luas

"Luas will operate normal passenger services this week however, this will be subject to weather conditions and advice over the coming days. We would advise you to plan your journey in advance and allow plenty of time to travel." Both the Red and Green line are in operation. For more information, check here.

Irish Rail

"All services are operating on all routes, except for bus transfers between Limerick and Ennis due to a separate local flooding issue." Delays at present:

• 10-15 minute delays to Newbridge to Grand Canal Dock services due to points issues at Newbridge
• 10-25 minute delays to Maynooth line services due to earlier points issue
