A very rare set of identical triplets have been born in Corpus Christi, Texas. Two of the girls were conjoined at the hip when they were born by C-section at 34 weeks on Saturday.
Parents Silvia Hernandez and her husband Raul Torres, who also have a two-year-old son, Raul Jr., named the girls Catalina, Ximena and Scarlett. Each weighed in at around 4lb 11oz with Ximena and Scarlett conjoined in a medical situation that occurs in as few as one in 50 million births.

Doctors at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas are currently considering their options and it is expected that they will separate the conjoined twins in the coming six months.
“God chose us to take care of these babies,” Torres said in a statement. “We put our faith in God’s hands first and everything will be all right.”

Sharing her story on a GoFundMe page set up by her sister, Silvia said:
“When we found out we were expecting 3 babies our hearts were filled with so much joy, we felt so blessed! Three months into the pregnancy the doctors had some bad news for us, two of the babies are conjoined from their lower stomach but they were not sure if they were sharing any organs.
My husband and I no longer have an income coming in because he had to leave his job to care for me and our son. We have created this page in hopes that people will read our story and help us in any way possible.”
