Film buffs were quick to point out the very fake looking animatronic baby who plays the lead character's baby daughter in the second half of the movie.
The rather stiff looking doll steals the spotlight from stars Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller in the movie, directed by Clint Eastwood.
Luckily the faux pas doesn't appear to have affected ticket sales, with
American Sniper grossing over $90m in the box office during January.
