The page has raised £6,368 (at the time of writing) since it was first set up. The initial goal was £1,500.
According to Metro, Ava-May's family members issued a statement paying tribute to the little girl who could "light up even the darkest of rooms".
The statement read:
"She was not your ordinary little girl, as anyone she met, she would leave a lasting impression on. "Anyone that met her would not want to forget her. Her infectious laugh and smile could light up even the darkest of rooms."
