Hang On, Is Gwen Steffani Pregnant?

Eh, no. She's had quite the rough ride recently, but Gwen Steffani's attempt at a little April Fools Day humour has angered fans. The No Doubt frontwoman, who split from husband Gavin Rossdale, took to Instagram on April 1, sharing an ultrasound picture along with the caption  "It's a girl," and a line of heart emojis.

It's believed The Voice coach, mum to Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, was making a tongue-in-cheek reference to a recent tabloid magazine headline which read: 'Blake's Joy Over Gwen's Miracle Baby At 46!' Steffani has been dating US singer and TV personality Blake Shelton since last year. While many fans saw the funny side, a few felt Gwen's joke fell flat, making light of many women's struggles with infertility. Posting in the star's Instagram comments, Sarah.yoder said 'Pregnancy should not be taken as a joke! Many women struggle with getting pregnant or having a miscarriage everyday! A complete loss of of respect toward you now after this! KatieBlaz added: 'Wow nice to make a joke about being pregnant when so many women out there are unable to have a child and here you are making a joke about it.'
