Fantastic news as Ireland makes it through to Eurovision 2018

YES.

Ireland has made it through to the Eurovision Grand Final and people are only delighted with the news. Ryan O'Shaughnessy managed to win voters over and now he's one of ten finalists from the 19 acts that performed tonight.

Given that Ireland hasn't exactly impressed at the Eurovision in recent years, people are genuinely over the moon and many shared their joy on Twitter.

It's the first time in five years that Ireland will compete in the song contest so we imagine people will be glued to the TV come Saturday night.
