Eoin Fitzpatrick and his son Dylan, 10, will be laid to rest on Tuesday, July 25th.
The father and son tragically died in a road accident during a family trip to Turkey. The moped they were travelling on collided with a bus on July 17th and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
They were from Portlaoise and tragically died on the last day of their holiday to Turkey. They were due to fly home on July 17th, but were carrying out one final errand.
Their family are heartbroken following their untimely deaths.
They penned a heartfelt tribute ahead of their funerals on Tuesday.
Eoin has been remembered as a “devoted father” who was “immensely proud” of his children.
“Eoin and Dylan were two beautiful souls who enriched the lives of all those around them,” their loved ones shared.
“We are eternally grateful to have been fortunate enough to know them, to spend time with them, to share laughter and joy with them, to consider them friends, to call them family.”
“We will carry them in our hearts forever,” they added.
The father and son will be laid to rest at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise.
