Police believe the killings to be the result of a domestic dispute that turned fatal.

A suspected murder-suicide on Father’s Day has killed a family of four in the US.

Police in Jackson Township, Ohio said Nicholas Mavrakis, 47, his wife Lesley, 37, their son Ace, 13, and daughter Pippa, 5, all died from gunshot wounds in what they are investigating as a triple homicide and suicide.

A relative of Lesley alerted police after calling to the home. Nobody answered the door, and she was alarmed by the silence of the family dogs.

She told police during her 911 call that Nicholas was a veteran and had PTSD from his time in the military, which was causing “problems.”

Police arrived to the home shortly after 4pm on Sunday, Father’s Day, where they found the bodies of all four family members.

Jackson Township Police Department believe the killings to be the result of a domestic dispute that turned deadly.

Nicholas reportedly served in the US Army from 1993 – 2013. He is believed to have suffered PTSD resulting from deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
