Twitter has exploded with posts from Irish people on the topic of feminism. Under the hashtag #FeministFutures, the engaging conversation unfolded last night and continues today in an effort to change archaic attitudes towards the role of women in society.
Historians, comedians, mothers, fathers, broadcasters, directors, radio producers, politicians, teenagers and other individuals from all walks of life joined in on the conversation, kicked off by the National Women’s Council of Ireland. It was inspiring to see men and women sharing experiences and expressing their views publicly.
