Bridget Jones is returning to the big screen next year and we are VERY excited about it (as in, we’ve already organised for himself to stay in and look after the kids while we go to the cinema with the girls).
Entertainment Weekly has given the world its first glimpse of Bridget Jones’ Baby which will see Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth reprise their roles alongside newcomer Patrick Dempsey.
Since we saw her last, over 10 years ago, Bridget has been through a lot. She is 43 years old now and is pregnant with no idea who the father is.
Speaking about the latest installment in the franchise, Renée told the publication: “This is part of the new challenge, discovering where she is now in her new life.
“But as an actress, it feels like stepping back with an old friend. I love this character, I like that she tells stories about what it’s like to be a woman and these really relatable situations at certain times in life.”
The film is set for release in September 2016 and, like we said, we cannot wait to see how she’s getting on!
