Gardaí at Store Street are investigating the attempted abduction of a two-year-old girl in Dublin’s Ilac Centre.
A woman told Gardaí that an unknown man had picked up her daughter and walked away with her in the centre at around 6pm on Monday evening last.
The woman took the child back after a couple of minutes.
“I reacted so fast though and dragged her back away from him,” she said, speaking on FM104’s Phoneshow.
“It just happened so quickly. It was two seconds and that was it.”
“You hear about these things online and on Facebook, but when it comes to your own doorstep it’s very frightening,” she said.
Gardaí investigating the incident said they are following a definite line of inquiry and that no arrests have been made.
