UPDATE: Missing 14-year-old Shane O’Connor is found safe and well

UPDATE: Shane O’Connor has been found safe and well.

They have asked for the public’s assistance in finding the missing boy.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for help in finding missing 14-year-old Shane O’Connor.

Shane has gone missing from his home in Ballinteer, Dublin. He is the son of singer Sinead O’Connor (who recently changed her name to Shuhada Davitt.).

This is my 14 yr old son. Missing since Friday. Last seen in Wicklow town at 7.42 pm tonight. Allegedly Headed for the home of someone called Orlando. If you see him or he is at your home please contact Dundrum or Wicklow Gardai. pic.twitter.com/K9HhWVDoAa

Since the tweet was posted Garda have confirmed that 14-year-old Shane has been found safe and well.

A representative from the Garda Press Office released the following statement;

Shane O’ Connor has been located safe and well today, Monday 21st of January 2019. No further action is required. We would like to thank everyone who assisted in this appeal.
