Incredibly tragic news.

Gardaí have named the three children whose bodies were found in a house in Co. Dublin.

The bodies of nine year old Conor, seven year old Darragh and three year old Carla McGinley were discovered in the Parson’s Court, Newcastle house yesterday evening at approximately 7.45pm.

The siblings’ cause of death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A female relative in her 40s, believed to be the children’s mother, was also discovered at the scene. She is receiving medical treatment in Tallaght University Hospital.

The bodies of the three children have since been removed to the city morgue. A postmortem is due to take place later today to determine cause of death.

The scene is currently being examined by members of the Garda Technical Bureau. Assistant State Pathologist Margot Bolster has also attended the scene.

Gardaí have asked the media to give the children’s father, Andrew McGinley (pictured above), privacy following this enormous tragedy.

No other person is currently being looked for in relation to the incident.
