Kat O'Connor

An investigation is currently underway.

Gardaí in Co. Sligo are investigating numerous sexual assaults.

Multiple teenage girls were reportedly assaulted between 8 pm and 10 pm on January 22nd.

The girls were out socialising in Sligo when the attacks took place.

A house and a section of GAA grounds have been sealed off as the investigation continues.

Gardaí have asked witnesses in the Ballydoogan, Oakfield, and Maugheraboy areas to come forward.

They’re also eager to talk to a taxi driver who may have taken a fare from Sligo to Manorhamilton.

Specialist Garda child interviewers are taking part in the investigation because of the ages of the victims.
